Apparantly, this is kind of like american idol, but for comics and is the only thing on tonight.  7 minutes in, it's not funny.

Yep.  It's been on in the past.  I never thought it got funny until farther along in the season.

Three seasons.  I have been a fan.  The third season's showing got cut off of NBC onto Comedy Central & Bravo.

I think the problem here may be that while bad singers are funny, bad comics aren't.

alonzo bolden won the challenge. dat fan won season one, and john hefron won the second season.

i love this show. so glad it's back on. :D

they are putting some ringers through this season. it's funny to see not all the ringers made it. Pardo is a "bob & tom" comedian, and he didn't make it.

I've seen the chubby Hispanic guy on Comedy Central before and he was entertaining the troops in Iraq.  He was hysterical!!

There was a woman on the show last night from Texas who did the bit about looking like Montgomery Burns naked when she got out of the shower.  She tilted her head and posed and you could almost see what she was talking about.  Too funny.  There were a LOT of duds with only a handful of decent joksters.

There was.  There was also woman with a pretty severe lisp making fun of her difficulty and a Cerebral Palsy guy making fun of his.  Both were awfully brave and pretty funny but I think they could offend a lot of people with similar conditions.  They made a bunch of jokes I felt bed about laughing at.
