So I upgraded my Firefox

and now just every now and then it makes my typing reallllly.slooooooow.  Like I'll type it in and then 10 seconds later the letters show up.

Is it just a memory hog or what?  (v 1.5)  It's using 120,500k right now.

that's way too much

it tends to do that after running certain ugly java applets (thanks for the crappy plugin, Sun)

restart the computer and tell me if it grows that large very quickly

I have 4 tabs open, does that make a big difference?

It's your avatar that's doing it.

Memory usage is going to depend upon a lot of things.  If you have viewing pages with flash ads or lots of graphics your usage will likely be higher.  And a lot of times Windows won't immediately free the memory when it is done with it.  It's really just a lot of things.

Did your typing problem get better after you rebooted?
