Yeah.  I didn't really buy that character.  He was trying WAY too hard to be WAY too evil.  I think it might have worked better if he'd been more subtle-evil.

Two of the best villains on that show were the opera guy and the guy who had people shoot the immortals before he took their heads.  I particularly liked the opera guy because that series of episodes ran through like a season and change of the show.
