WOW!  What a race.  I can't remember the last time I watched with such tension.  Danica Patrick is definitely a kickass driver and will be in the circuit for years.

"Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?"
I think so, Brain, but how will we get the Spice Girls into the paella?

eo000

she sure can drive and make a left turn. what an athelete.    ;)

Fortune and glory, kid. Fortune and glory.
Underneath this flabby exterior is an enormous lack of character.

Now see- I don't think they're atheletes.  But they're certainly talented.

I don't think that's accurate.  There have been a few woman drivers in Indy, and none of them did as well as she did.  Janet Guthrie, Lyn St. James...  none of them came close to leading, let alone winning.  She's the only woman to ever lead even a lap at Indy.  In other racing arenas, Shirley Muldowney has been kicking butt and taking names in drag racing for years.

Plus Danica Patrick is a rookie- I believe she finished the highest (4th) out of this year's rookie class.  I think in the history of Indy there's only been like 4 rookies that have won it.

I think the fact that she's hot adds to her story, but doesn't create it.  As Urusus just put it- "Last time I checked, you don't lead laps at Indy 'cuz you're pretty!"

I think that the press paid attention because she was a woman driver at Indy.  I think they paid even more attention because she's "hot".

'zactly.  Plus she almost made Michael Andretti look like a bigger wanker than he usually is, so that's a plus in my book.

No you lead them because you don't get your acceleration pedal confused with your break pedal.  And because you can make left turns really well.

I'm still sticking by my drunken statement that this wouldn't be half as big a deal if she was a bagger.

eo000

but really, i don't see why people would watch just because she's hot. it's not like you can see her at all while she's driving.

Jessie

Have any of you ever seen an indy car running in person?

Unfuckingbelievable.

I saw them run practice laps an Kentucky Speedway.  I guarantee you that at 200+mph there's a lot more to it than turning left.

I'm not sure if 4th was the highest finish for a rookie, but I believe I heard that she was the 4th woman ever to run it and the highest finishing of the 4.

Hot or not, that's a hell of an accomplishment for a woman in a man's game.
we should have kept the quote pyramid up to rape Jessie in the face.

DownSouth

I saw an interview with her yesterday.  She posed for one of the mens magazines.

I've seen Micheal Andretti turn right (in person) a couple of times, usually into Al jr. Micheal is a no-talent-ass-clown.  :cuss:
I was just wondering...
