I was thinking that too.  I really only watch the auditions and they haven't been as entertaining.  I wonder if they're cutting down on the bad people, or maybe it's because there have been less fits thrown?

Is the scripting more obvious than it used to be?  That's why I can't watch it - so much of it is obviously staged.

And yet, I watch Gladiators, which is also clearly scripted.  Yes, I recognized my own hypocrisy.

I think maybe that's the problem, that they realized their scripting is so obvious, so they've cut down on it and there's not much entertainment anymore.

Do you think the outcome of Gladiators is scripted?  Or just the stupid crap they say?

I dont like watching the people who are obviously bad just to get on tv.  They annoy me.

Unless they're funny, which they usually aren't.

Definitely some of the latter.  I tend to think they're coached most of the time.  Sometimes I wonder about the former, like when the clearly better adversary gets to the last of the Eliminator and then suddenly can't pull themselves up and the underdog ends up winning.
