Now, I know there is probably a good deal of myspace derision on here.

I made a myspace for the primary purpose of stalking barely legal bitches finding new bands and keeping tabs on ones I loved after I noticed how many totally cool bands have myspace pages.

Here is one example - Medeski Scofield Martin Wood http://www.myspace.com/medeskiscofieldmartinandwood

Quite fond of them actually.

Swolt's heard a LOT of John Scofield... it was one of two disks we had driving from Reno to San Francisco and back.  *lol*
"Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?"
I think so, Brain, but how will we get the Spice Girls into the paella?

I've been re-loving Shack-man the last little while, and the MSMW disc just got released. Their Little Walter tune is so damn catchy and funky. The greatness of that song alone makes them virtually my favorite band.

Beefy

This is the one I have.  It's a mood CD for me, I have to be in just the right mental place for it.  And when I am, no other disc I have works for me.

JJ

Yeah that was the first I had ever heard of them. '

I love funk, and I like jazz, so these guys fit right into my favorite stuff. I love them.

The MMW I've got is "Tonic". A relative actually said "WTF is that? Why don't you listen to MUSIC?????"

I still chuckle....

Dumb ass...
I was just wondering...

JJ

Should I feel bad about downloading the album 2 days after its release? I don't know that it was available for honoriffic pay download. I want to support these guys...but the torrents are so convenient...yeah that's it.

dazie

Get the album later on CD.
