Watching this really, really makes me want to get my 2nd tattoo.  Like, really.

I really want another, but I can't decide on what.  I thought for a long time I wanted a mariner's compass, but never did anything about it.  I saw this design I have and got it 3 days later.  I'm willing to wait until I find what I want.

I know what I want for my 2nd one.  I've actually had it in mind since before I even thought about my first one.  It's a forget-me-not flower.  I'm really big on making it extremely personal to me, obviously, and I want to have designed everything myself.  The problem is I can't draw for shit, and I don't want this flower looking cartooney.

I think about what I want, and then I sit on it for a LONG time.  The fleur-de-lis design on my back I carried around in my wallet for 2 years.  It's been about 5 years since I first thought of the forget me not.

My fleur de lis I chose because at the time, I was in school for French, I was quite the francophile. The fleur de lis is also the symbol for New Orleans.  And if both of those parts of my life faded away, which they have, the fleur de lis represents perfection, light, and life.

The forget me not I am drawn to because it is the flower assigned to Virgos.  It's also representative of two friends of mine that have passed away.  It's also a good way for me to remember things that I should never forget.  And it'll also be a curse on everybody who ever sees it.... they'll never forget me. :-p

Part of me thinks that getting a tattoo would be kickin' rad, especially for a history teacher. If I got one, it'd probably be of something historical... like a map of the D-Day invasion, or Winston Churchill's head.
