we should have kept the quote pyramid up to rape Jessie in the face.

Red Dragon over The Silence of the Lambs?

Utter nonsense.

All kinds of stupid in that list, but I give it props for:

1) Including Peeping Tom, which is a brilliant film in the same way Hitchcock's Psycho is.  I actually prefer Peeping Tom.

2) Including a film I've never even heard of before (and not likely to watch - live footage of rats eating a live cat? No thanks)

I wondered if you'd seen that one.

I don't agree with The Exorcist being dumped into the middle of the bunch.  That's the scariest movie I've ever watched.

No kidding!

I'm not a big fan of that list at all.

I think I've seen two of those movies.
"Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?"
I think so, Brain, but how will we get the Spice Girls into the paella?

Infobahn

I have not watched a horror movie in the last 30 years.  Not one.  Well, there was "Death to Smoochie".

Jessie

I've seen:

Shaun of the Dead (I don't really consider this a horror movie)
The Fly
Alien
Halloween (In part)
Carrie (maybe in full, I can't remember)
Jaws
The Exorcist
Psycho
Invasion of the Body Snatchers
Bambi (in part)
Nosferatu
Arrival of a Train at La Ciotat (on YouTube this morning)

I'd like to see the rest of them, save for the cat being eaten alive.

Dry then Catch

I'm pretty sure these lists are generated only to cause controversy

I think I was just late to the whole Exorcist thing.  I've seen it.  It's very well made and intense and influential. but other than some shocks it didn't really scare me all that much.  The thing crawling on the ceiling in Exorcist 3 got more of a rise out of me, as did hallway murderer lunging shot.

*shudder*

(That said, Exorcist 3 has all kinds of problems.)

Jessie

I sat and watched all the Exorcist movies one night when Timothy was a baby.  Scared the bejeezus out of myself, and ended up getting him out of his crib just so I wouldn't be alone in the living room.

I have traipsed drunkenly up and down the Exorcist stairs more times than I can recall.

I watched Carrie on TV with my mom when I was in High School.  The final shock made us both jump!
