You know, I think that if there was a person you didn't like, and you handed them Wasabi Peas and a Vernor's ginger ale, and told them to inhale the smell of Vernor's through their nose and then take a bite of the Wasabi Peas and then exhale through their nose, you could kill them and totally get away with it.

If any of you care, and I know you do, several rumors are leaking their way around the NFL right now.  Since the draft is Saturday Morning 11 CST, the news becomes more and more pertinent to those of us who are realy football junkies.

1) Niners are considering selecting Alex Smith over Aaron Rogers but agreeing to a contract before the draft seems to be a priority.  Smith's agent, Tom Condon, is known for holding his guys out for big bucks as he did last year with Eli Manning who proceeded to be much less than spectacular.

2)If the Niners were to pass on Smith, then it's possible that several things could happen:
a) the Dolphins, who own the 2 spot, could select him
b) the Dolphins could trade down to a number of teams, Bucs for 3 picks, 1, 2, 3 rounds or with the Vikings for their 2 #1's so the Vikes could move up and select Braylon Edwards..  Then the Dolphins could fill several holes in the roster and grab a top flight RB at the same time.
c) The Brownies could draft Smith at the #3 spot

3) One rumor even has the Titans trying to move up in the draft to nab Smith as the successor to Steve McNair.

4) Yes, I'm a real geek and fully embrace my inner obsessive compulsive nerd.

That made my head hurt.

I sometimes watch the draft...I just don't really get into it.

That's funny.  Beef told me almost the same thing the other day when I shared some similar stuff with him.  He told me to speak English.

I love to watch football, but I've never really gotten the draft.

I mean, I know what it's all about and everything but it seems so complicated.  The only thing I know about the draft this year is that two Auburn tailbacks are expected to be in the top ten, and only because my brother's a sportswriter and sent me the article about it.

I like how either quarterback could go at the top pick, or drop out of the top 5. it's going to be a crazy draft.

Jessie

The Race Draft is much more exciting.

we should have kept the quote pyramid up to rape Jessie in the face.

Indeed.  I think it's because of the teams drafting in the top 10, only a few NEED qb's.  The rest are set at that spot and would likely draft to fill other needs.  That said, there could be a few shockers like the Packers moving up to draft a QB to start after Favre retires(this year or next) and the Titans have also been rumored to be seeking a replacement for McNair because this may be his last go round.  I can't wait!!!!  Only 69 more hours!!!!

Why?  Because the Crimson Tide hasn't rolled anywhere in at least 5 years?!?!?!?!

So are you a Spurrier fan?

Are you pretty pumped about your boy Troy Williamson going so high in the draft?  I actually came across a link the other day that showed some highlights of his and the guy looks amazing.  He might actually end up being better than Edwards and Williams.  I wish my Dolphins would take him but they really need a RB more.

I'm not a Spurrier fan.  If he gets the job done I might lighten up on my dislike.  It's not looking good having 3 starters arrested before spring training.  Troy is a badass.

You know you dream of Spurrier leading you around by your pee-pee.  It doesn't matter about the 3 starters getting arrested, because my personal opinion is that the Gamecocks are going to suck next year regardless of what happens.  Spurrier's been holding those guys to the fire, and I'm afraid the adjustments are going to be too much for the whole bunch of slackers.
11:42:24 [Gamplayerx] I keep getting knocked up.

I would yell at you but I think you're right.  I'm not real pumped about this year.
