The second one was nowhere near as good as the first, I think.

The second one was limited by the fact that it ended halfway through the story. Something I severly disliked about the second and third matrix movies. I was like WTF!?

I'm hoping the third redeems the second and that together they are as good as the first.

The second was way too long.  The action sequences were so long that they lost all of their excitement, to me.

Am I the only one who thought "Pirates of the Carribean, from producer Jerry Bruckheimer" was a joke?

Part 2 was bloated, but I liked it more than part 1.  Bill Nighy was a far better villain than Geoffery Rush.  But then, it seems every role Nighy takes is a good one.

I couldn't agree more!  The second lacked almost all the charm and wit of the first film.  The first was light and airy in its attitude and the second was much more about getting into the story and it seemed to take itself too seriously.
