I agree wholeheartedly.  If he were smart, he'd realize that it's a COMIC BOOK and that making the costume out of foam would've been perfectly reasonable.  Perhaps rigid foam, if the one he hated was soft foam, but foam nonetheless.

If this guy was into batman, he'd have a grappling hook in his ass and he'd be totally poor trying(in vain) to emulate the batmobile.
