Saw a klezmer hiphop act last night

What do you mean by mixer?  Because "mixer" to me is the sound console from which the whole show is mixed together, not something that makes any of its own sound.

He stood on stage with his accordion and a mixer in front of him. He would have beats running through separate channels and mix them in as appropriate.
