Surprisingly good.  Theater full of little girls, but the movie didn't cater specifically to them- I heard the grownups laughing more than the kids.
"Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?"
I think so, Brain, but how will we get the Spice Girls into the paella?

I thought it was excellent. I bought Sara the sound track last night. I would see it again.
A clever man commits no minor blunders.

This was a wonderful movie. I figured it would be cheesy, but it is a great family movie. Hilarious!

oh, good.  Hey, Daz, have you seen August Rush yet?

dazie

Not yet- it's on my list though.  Maybe tomorrow night.  *shrug*

Here's a good clip from Enchanted:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRYU4cqUAUs

Just watched it and liked it very much.  I laughed a lot.
we should have kept the quote pyramid up to rape Jessie in the face.

I didn't care for it.  Maybe it's because I don't have kids or something... or it could have been that I was fighting with the boy at the time I watched it, so all that love crap just pissed me off.

I'm not generally a fan of musicals.  This one looks especially painful to watch.  All icing, no cake.

Jessie

It only has a couple of songs.  I don't know if I'd go so far as to call it a musical.  Of course, I don't think being a musical is a bad thing.

It's a movie that makes fun of movies like it.  The female lead plays her part to perfection.  It's just a fun movie.

I think Amy Adams is wonderful and I have been in love with Susan Sarandon for years.  I'll watch it eventually.

ReBurn

It's good because it can make fun of the genre and still manage to be entertaining. It does a good job with the cliche's.

It's a musical.  At least, I'd consider any movie where they sing about what's going on more than once a musical.

By that definition, I don't think I would call Once a musical. Yes, it is full of songs, but they are more for setting mood than conveying dialog and/or plot.

I didn't say musicals only sing about what's going on.  I said any movie where they sing about what's going on is a musical.

What we need is a Venn Diagram showing the set of all movies, the set of movies which are musicals, and the set of movies where they sing at ALL about what's going on.
