Can I play the piano anymore?

someone donated an upright Miller piano to my habitat store today....it's a little skinned-up on the legs, but it sounds awesome. after everyone left today, i was sitting in the middle of the warehouse playing silly stuff. i'd love to buy it....

The CD store my brother in law managed gave him a mandolin for his 40th birthday. He hasn't learned to play it yet, and he's had it for a few years. I wonder if there is a teach-yourself-mandolin course online we could get for him.

I used to work for Bruce Hornsby's best friend's dad.  Technically, I worked for the fed, but my supervisor ... why am I telling you this?

I didn't meet Bruce.  I did get free tickets, but I didn't use them.

That video was spectacular.

x2!  Fearless, funny, and catchy!  Loved the harp solo.

I watched the original broadcast on MTV's launch.

Who would've thought, 20some years later, that videos would be dead and people would still be listening to the radio.

I figured.  It sounded as if you hadn't though.  I watched it as well, the very, very first time.

Remember when MTV played videos?

While that's completely true, I'd still rather listen to Kelly Clarkson than watch "Laguna Beach" or "Cribs" or "Pimp my ride."

Just want to say that if you're really interested in learning Mandolin ( or just about any instrument ) buy a used one, look on craigslist for a teacher you can afford and go do it.  You'll surprise yourself, you'll surprise others.  You'll thank me.

Dry then Catch

Believe it or not I played and own an electric mandolin for about 2 years.  In that amateurish college student way.

If you want to do bluegrass and really fast folk finger picking, its very hard.  I lost attention span.

If you want to provide interesting melody and accent to some regular guitars by strumming chords, its surprisingly easy.
