A child can go only so far in life without potty training. It is not mere coincidence that six of the last seven presidents were potty trained, not to mention nearly half of the nation's state legislators.

I'm watching the pre-race coverage of the Derby.  It occurs to me that the more time people have to spend before an event, the more dramatic stories will arise.

Today's heart wrencher was the story of Alex, a little girl with cancer who raised over a million dollars selling lemonade.  She passed away last summer and her family is running a lemonade stand at the race.  Plus, I guess her mom is part owner of one of the horses?  (I didn't catch it all)

Do you think it's appropriate to have these stories during a sporting event?  I'm not trying to be harsh, and I know what she did was important- but is it necessary?

Whenever I hear the music swell and see the "blur" filter put on the camera, I'm tempted to turn off the TV.  I just want to watch the race (game, match etc) dammit!  Just let me watch the race!

I think so, Brain, but how will we get the Spice Girls into the paella?

The actual race is what, 2 minutes?  They need filler.

Money?  What is this money of which you speak?

I like Flower Alley and Noble Causeway.

Jessie

Who won?

Wait, I don't even know the names of any of the horses.

Never mind.
we should have kept the quote pyramid up to rape Jessie in the face.

I just want to see a horse stomp on a jockey, then go eat some lady's hat.

Giacomo won.

Yes, but was there any jockey stomping or hat eating involved? (or vice versa)

dazie

Nope.  At least not on camera.
