This pic didn't come from that series of WTF DID I KNIT? stuff, but rather from an email I received today, from a yarn manufacturer.

As a knitter and dog owner, I want to apologize to any dogs that are unlucky enough to have people who think that sort of thing is cute.

Sweaters I'm good with.  China needs a sweater because she's scrawny and has a thin coat.  But honestly- a lion's mane?  Ruffles?  Embarassing.

Oh God.  I don't know what's worse- the dog or the crocheted washcloths they're passing off as "sweaters"

I've been knitting, and I like it, but don't do it enough.  I need to learn more than basic stitches, i suppose.

I think that the only "stitches" are knit and perl. It's the way you combine them that makes them special.

This project requires use of short rows, cables, knitting into the rows below, joining by knitting on, and some simple embroidery. Simplified instructions are included when possible. The techniques are not too difficult, however.

Too bad I don't know how to do any of that except simple embroidery.
