So I've taken a break from painting for a bit, it's been frustrating me lately - I won't get into it. Anyway, this lady at work asked me if I could try and draw her horse. So I said I'd give it a shot, but I've never drawn a horse before.
I'm kind of proud of what I've done so yeah this is a bit of bragging but I also need opinions on something. In the background behind her head, should I draw the background that is there or color it in black?

OKay, added some texture to her and I'm finally super happy with her.

Very nice.
Black background.
Thanks!
Very nice. I wish I could draw.
I think she's done... there are a few more things I was going to do, but I'm afraid to overwork it.

I think that's very good! You definitely have a talent.
That's very good. She looks sad.
Most impressive.

Very good likeness! That is one gloomy looking horse.
I know. :( I don't know why she looks so sad.
She's probably missing Mr. Ed.

Crap, I fixed her eye and that made her not look so sad anymore. But I forgot to take a picture before I gave it to the lady.
